Packing up and heading out from Lake Mead

20180227_164452We had a very enjoyable time at Lake Mead and we’re sad to go but we are scouting a new destination for today. We saw so much wildlife there and to think it is just 30 miles from the Las Vegas strip. Early in the morning we would see our coyote family wandering the hills looking for a bite to eat. They are such beautiful creatures. On the lake we spied pelicans, seagulls, herons, ducks and ravens. Our binoculars came in handy. Every morning the fishermen were out looking for their catch of the day. This is definitely a destination that requires a return visit. Government Wash has lots of room to spread out and enjoy peace and quiet.
