As we are travelling through Colorado and are surrounded by it’s beautiful fall colors, we decide to slowly make our way to Texas, and in our attempts to travel south bound we find ourselves about 5 miles east of the town of Jefferson, CO. Our stay in this area lasts longer than expected, and little do we know we will settle in at no less than four spots for several days each. The gravel road leading us in brings us to many fairly level sites with fire pits, and the views at each is fantastic in its own way. The roads are dirt and gravel with few scattered potholes, and cell and data is spotty in the areas with more abundant trees. Over all we had a good 3G to 4G with two to four bars on Verizon depending on where we settled in. Traffic consisted of a vehicle or OHV/ATV every now and then, but the cows strolling by far outnumbered the human activity. Below a few images of the spots we stayed to give an indication of the beauty of this area. But fall approaches and so we slowly try to make our way back to Texas… Try. Colorado just begs us to keep Scouting Destinations.
