Lake Meredith, located about 40 miles north of Amarillo TX, has an abundance of campgrounds with free dry and payed electric sites. Pay sites can be obtained at the Wright-On Bait, Tackle and Watercraft Rentals near the entrance. ($25.50 tax incl. as of Oct 2018) We stayed about 5 miles north of the town of Fritch, at the end of Sanford Yake Rd. All sites have covered tables and a grill/firepit, are fairly level and offer great views of the dam and the lake. In addition there is a dump station located at the entrance. With very good (Verizon) data as an added bonus this is a great place to be stationary for a while and needless to say; We enjoyed our stay here, but on we go; Scouting Destinations.
