Sitting on top of a small hill is the Vino Salida winery just outside of Salida, actually in Poncha Springs, Colorado.
They have a large outdoor area in front with picnic tables and a few games. As you walk in the door you’re greeted by Jamie the one who will take you through the many different wines. We decided on a tasting, 4 wines for $5.00. Jamie helped us through the many selections. We had a nice plate of local cheeses with crackers as we tried mostly red wines. Had a nice conversation with a local sitting next to us. We left with a bottle of wine to remind us of our visit to Vino Salida.
