Boondocking

Boondocking at the Hugo State Wildlife Area, near Hugo, Colorado.

As we are heading through the eastern part of Colorado we decide to stay at the Hugo State Wildlife Area, which is located about 15 miles south of Hugo on CR 109. (Coming from Hugo on Hwy 109 turn left on Rd 2G and continue east for about 2 1/2 miles) At the entrance you will find a pit toilet, but no trash recepticle as this is a pack in, pack out location. Driving in to the area did not pose any issues. The road is mostly layered with gravel, with here and there a pothole and some in- and declines, but over all not bad. There are a few spots to set up and or settle down. Wildlife is abundant, as are the locals that go fishing out here. Cell and data was decent with 4G 3 bars on Verizon. We stayed here for several days and are slowly moving north, Scouting Destinations.
