Near Kimball, Nebraska along US Hwy 30 or the Lincoln Hwy is the Lodgepole Wayside campground. It was a very relaxing visit with a lot of ducks on the water. There is a beach there for swimming and a playground for the kids. It is free to stay but donations are greatly excepted. We were headed to South Dakota so we only stayed one day but next time we will stay longer.
